The Town House Dublin was established in 1978 with a focused objective of distinguishing ourselves from others by providing best practice in customer service. Our aim has always been to ensure that our guests enjoy their stay at the Town House B&B but equally as important that they enjoy their stay in Dublin. The Town House B&B offers guests a choice of rooms from our deluxe doubles, twins to comfortable and well serviced singles.

Dublin is often described as the cultural and historical capital of Ireland, yet many people pass through our capital city without ever enjoying that culture and history in the truest sense of the word. I have always been fascinated by the off-track, off beat, non-commercialised aspects of our capital; it is for this reason that you will often see me walking quietly among the patch work of graves at Glasnevin Cemetery or the leafy walk ways of the Iveagh Gardens. On tepid evenings in autumn when the western sky fades to orange reflecting its inexplicable range of nuances on the worn-out tombs of our fallen heroes and poets at Glasnevin, I wonder why. A veil of silence descends upon the great oak trees, as the sun slowly lies down beneath the silhouette of the great round tower dedicated to the Irish leader Daniel O'Connell in the 1860s, and thus the scene becomes emotion.
The tomb stones shed their red, assuming first a pink, then a violet and in the end a hue of grey, then night falls, it is this moment of the day in which, perhaps, I can best perceive the inevitable course of time. Glasnevin Trust have now opened a wonderful museum at Glasnevin Cemetery and it includes a life sized make-up of grave robbers at work, entry to the museum is free and is a must.
