Burlington Hotel Dublin, fire, guests evacuated

Guests were evacuated and one person was taken to hospital after fire at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin this morning.

The fire broke out in a room on the 6th floor and emergency services were called to the scene at about 5.20am.

The person taken to hospital is not understood to have fire-related injuries but injuries related to the evacuation.

Four Dublin Fire Brigade appliances, a turntable ladder and two ambulances attended the scene and have extinguished the fire.


It is understood the room was destroyed in what was a suspected fridge fire.
